Elections 2026

When will I receive my poll card?

Poll cards will be going out from around 27 March to Tuesday 7 April. If you do not receive a poll card it could mean that you are not registered, or you are not entitled to be registered due to your nationality.

Please contact the electoral office at elections@southend.gov.uk or by calling 01702 215010 to check you are registered.

You do not need your poll card to enable you to vote (as long as you are registered), but if you are voting in person remember to bring an approved form of photo ID with you on polling day.

You should receive a poll card before polling day which tells you where to vote. You do not need to take your poll card with you when you attend a polling station.

If you have misplaced your poll card or did not receive one, but you have confirmed that you are registered to vote, you can still find where to vote by using the polling station finder.

The polling station finder allows you to find your designated polling station using a postcode search.

By entering your postcode, you will be shown the details of the polling station where you can cast your vote. The results will tell you:

  • the name of your polling station
  • the address
  • any helpful information to assist your visit on polling day
