How the funding was used in Southend
This information shows how the last lot of funding was used.
It will also help to give you an idea of what support may be available if future funding is made available.
Southend Emergency Fund
Grants of up to £3,000 were given out to organisations working with:
- pensioners
- people with disabilities
- people with caring responsibilities

Citizens Advice (CA)
This was used to help Southend residents with food and fuel costs.
They also continue to:
- identify vulnerable people that may fit the remit of the Household Support Fund as they access their services
- work with people to maximise their income and help with any debt people may have

Essential Living Fund
Extra funding was given to the Essential Living Fund scheme.
This was the Local Welfare Provision Grant scheme which was already in operation for Southend residents.
