Recycling, waste and street cleaning services

Bins and recycling during the coronavirus outbreak

We're collecting as normal

Currently services including bin collections and street cleaning are operating with no significant disruption.

We are monitoring the situation closely to ensure these services can continue safely.

Please continue to put your bins out, on your usual collection day.

How to dispose of your bins and personal waste if you're unwell with symptoms of COVID-19

Please store your personal waste (eg; used tissues and disposable cleaning cloths) securely within disposable bags.

When appropriate, these bags should be removed and placed into another bag and securely tied or sealed. Please keep this waste separate from other bin bags. This waste must be stored for at least 72 hours before being put in your usual domestic or household waste bin.

Other household waste can be disposed of as normal and put out for collection on your usual day.

It is more important than ever to ensure that recycling is clean and dry, and that rubbish bags are all securely tied to help prevent spills and protect our collection teams and the public.

Household Waste Recycling Centres (the Tip)

Both our Stock Road and Two Tree Island HWRCs are closed until further notice.
