Southend-on-Sea City Council has applied to the Court for an injunction concerning unlawful occupation of land at Two Tree Island Nature Reserve. The application will be considered at the County Court at Southend on the 3 of June 2026 at 10.45 am.
The Council is the freehold owner of the land and is seeking an injunction to:
- restrain ongoing trespass by current occupiers; and
- prevent future unlawful occupation by persons who may enter the land for residential purposes, camping, or sleeping in vehicles
- the application has been made to the County Court under section 222 of the Local Government Act 1972 and in accordance with CPR Part 8
