Renewal of vows

This ceremony is for any couple who are married or have entered into a Civil Partnership who want to celebrate their marriage or Civil Partnership by renewing their vows.

To renew your vows you don’t have to live in the area where you hold your ceremony.

Ceremonies are offered in the Victoria Room or Jubilee Room on any day (with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day), or at any Approved Premises or possibly your own home. A Celebrant will be appointed to conduct your ceremony and can also help plan your ceremony.

The ceremony must not have any religious content. A Renewal of Vows has no legal effect and is not legally binding on those involved. You will also need to ask two people to witness the signing of the certificate of the event.

Renewal of Vows ceremonies usually last between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the number of options and readings chosen.
