Foster Carer exemption available from 1 April 2023
100% exemption (capped at Band D charge) will be applied to all Foster Carers from 1 April 2023 who meet the eligibility criteria (Remain available to provide care and have cared for a Southend-on-Sea child for at least 26 weeks and met the required training, support and development standards). No application required; the eligibility will be assessed by the Council and a reduction will be applied automatically.
