  • 38% of employees have not given details (up 0.7% compared to last year)
  • 28% preferred not to say (down 6.3% compared to last year)
  • of those who did share details:
    • 59% identify as heterosexual
    • 3% identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual (up 0.2% compared to last year)
  • 2.9% of the Southend population identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual

  • many employees do not wish to share this type of information
  • more staff are open to sharing this information compared to last year
  • the 3% that identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual is in line with of our community
