Weddings-on-Sea - Prittlewell Priory

Various images of weddings at Prittlewell Priory

Celebrate your special day in 12th Century style! Walk in the footsteps of medieval monks and former residents the Scratton family (prominent local family from the Victoria era) and make your vows below the timbered ceiling of the Refectory.

Prittlewell Priory is set in the beautiful grounds of Priory Park and offers attractive gardens, water features, extensive lawns and mature landscapes – giving you a superb location for your photographs.

Images of Prittlewell Priory can be viewed in our Prittlewell Priory Flickr album.

This venue can accommodate up to 100 people for a ceremony – allowing you to have many of your loved ones celebrate your wedding service with you.

You can book a viewing today by calling the Museums Department on 01702 212345, or by emailing registeroffice@southend.gov.uk.

Think Prittlewell Priory is the venue for you? Once you have a date in the diary, please complete the Provisional wedding booking form. This will ensure one of our Registrars can attend your wedding on that day. Upon completion of the form, a £250.00 deposit will be requested, which will be deducted from the final balance.
