Checks
Everyone in the household aged 18 or over must have a DBS check. We will send instructions and offer help if needed.
Money and council tax
Benefits do not change if you host someone from Ukraine.
Single person council tax discounts stay the same.
What guests can do
People arriving through this scheme can:
- live and work in the UK
- use the NHS
- claim benefits if eligible
- access schools, colleges, and English classes
