Civil Enforcement Officers Performance
The performance of all CEOs is subject to regular checks to ensure that they are operating in accordance with both the Council’s and Statutory standards and guidelines. Regular briefings and refresher training also help to ensure that all CEOs remain aware of the requirements and any changes to policy or regulations that may occur.
Despite the common belief that CEOs are paid on commission according to the number of PCN’s they issue, this is not the case. CEOs are paid a salary regardless of the number they have produced and are there to be a deterrent to inconsiderate and illegal parking behaviours and to encourage and increase compliance.
All allegations of dishonesty and impropriety are thoroughly investigated. Complaints about CEOs conduct or behaviour should be made to the Council including details of the time, date and location of the incident, with the CEOs identification number and/or physical description.
