Contravention Codes
The contravention directory shows how the contraventions are enforced, the contravention codes to be used and the conditions to be met before a CEO may issue a PCN. It also indicates which contraventions attract the higher or lower charges. It should be noted that both the contravention code and the charges are set and applied nationally and are not amended by Southend-on-Sea City Council.
The contravention codes are regularly reviewed and updated as and when legislation requires.
