Designated motorcycle bays
The Council has designated motorcycle bays located across the city, both on-street and within some of our Council operated car parks. Motorcyclists can park free of charge and with no time restriction if parked within these designated motorcycle bays. These bays are typically identified with “Solo Motorcycles Only”, “Solo M/C” or just “M/C”.

Other parking locations
Motorcyclists can also park in standard parking bays in our car parks and at on-street paid-for parking bays but there is a requirement to pay for parking, and relevant parking restrictions apply.
Payment can be made at a nearby pay and display (P and D) machine (where available) or by using either the Mobon or RingGo parking app. Inputting the vehicle registration of your motorcycle into either a parking app or at a P and D machine and making the required payment will ensure the relevant details are available on the handheld computer used by our Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) and negate the need to leave a P and D ticket on your motorcycle. Please note, a convenience fee and optional text message charges may apply when using any parking app.
