Homelessness Advice

If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness we can:

  • offer advice to everyone
  • try to prevent or delay homelessness where possible
  • advise you on what your rights are

We may have a legal duty to assist you by offering accommodation if your homelessness cannot be prevented and you are:

  • a care leaver
  • pregnant
  • a parent of dependent children
  • vulnerable through age or ill health
  • in or have been in the armed forces
  • serving or have served a custodial sentence
  • fleeing violence or abuse
  • in an emergency such as a fire or flood

If you are affected by one of the above, and at risk of homelessness, call 01702 215002 and ask to speak to the Housing Solutions Team.

We can’t offer accommodation to everyone. The law only entitles some homeless people to an offer of accommodation.

If you have no rights to public funds such as benefits, we may not be able to provide you with housing but we can still offer advice.
